Time passed. We were running.

How can I best learn the paradigms of nouns and verbs and the other inflected parts of speech?

Past time

"I wrote" etc. (Aorist)
Sections 33.2 and 33.3 of this section of Shirley Rollinson's grammar notes will help you.

NB. The verb form for he / she / it are all the same in Greek in the indicative mood.

"We were runnng" etc. (Imperfect)
Section 29.2 - of the same grammar notes - and use the STEM -τρεχ-

The pronunciation of Greek is similar to other languages using the Cyrillic alphabet - look at this animation

Feel free to ask questions after you've tried to use that grammar to find the forms. :)

Thank you very much for your reply. I see that the past tense is not that difficult.
