I am so glad. I have a tendency to convey the opposite of what I mean. In this case, I was afraid this was one of those instances.

Randall, the original post primarily concerned discourse issues, but secondarily there was a question about τοιουτος and when we may know that it's a pronoun. Since you ably answered the discourse part of the question, I addressed the latter, which in turn led to another response and comment. I fail to see why this would be a problem? It answered the questions, and didn't, in my opinion, detract from the main issue raised.
