NS of ANDROS vs ANQRWPOS

Another newbie question. I'm reading a transcription of John 5:5 in 037 and I noticed the NS ANOS. I knew that this can be an abbreviation for ANQRWPOS, but then wondered, how do I know that it couldn't just as well stand for ANDROS? I see two possibilities:
1. ANQRWPOS and ANDROS are in different cases; the two words never share the same ending for the same case, so there should never be any confusion.
2. ANHR is never abbreviated in any case, so there should never be any confusion.
I suspect it's always #1 (or almost always; different case seems to be a common textual variant, due to attraction), but can anyone answer the question as to whether ANHR is ever abbreviated as an NS?
