Buford Hall, age 88, died August 2nd, 2009 at the DuBose Center at the Cedars of Chapel Hill.
He was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on November 19, 1920, the son of the late Buford and Lora Forwood Hall. Buford was a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, the University of Kentucky and Harvard Medical School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Esteemed by both colleagues and patients, Buford was a devoted, respected and published physician and teacher of cardiology with a long-standing practice in Hinsdale, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Peg); his three children, Richard, Lora (Chris) and Michael; three granddaughters; and his brother Marion. Buford was predeceased by his other brother, Joseph Hall.
His cremains will be buried in the Hall family lot in the Georgetown, Ky. cemetery. There are no services scheduled.
