The Chapel Hill Museum will feature an exhibit of the multi-faceted history of the Chapel Hill Police Department in the museum’s east gallery until Oct. 31.
The exhibit presents a story of caring for a town rife with youthful antics and educated, though often outspoken, adult citizenry, and includes information about the moonshining and prostitution of the late 19th century, as well as Chapel Hill’s aging cold-case file.
Community programs in late summer and early fall will accompany the collection of historical artifacts and documents.
