Joel Salatin, a Virginia alternative farmer and agricultural writer, will speak at the public forum “Local Food to the Rescue†at Central Carolina Community College’s Chatham County campus on Wednesday.
Salatin’s Polyface Farm is located in the Shenandoah Valley, where his methods of farming and distribution address bio-security, food-borne pathogens, energy consumption and humane husbandry.
