Chatham County will host a 10th anniversary tribute to the 9-11 terrorist attack victims on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church. The tribute will also honor the role of first responders in protecting communities and individuals.
The ceremony will highlight local residents with unique connections to the attack. Chatham County first responders will be on hand and the piece of the World Trade Center that was donated to the county will be on display. After the ceremony ends around 4 p.m., residents are invited to view the beam and other artifacts from 9-11 provided by community members.
