Orange County Public Libraries in Carrboro and Hillsborough invite kids of all ages to take part in the “Make a Splash … Read!†program this summer.
Programs will begin the week of June 14 with Storytime for kids ages 1-6 at the Carrboro Branch Library; Lapsit Storytime for babies 1-2 years, a puppet show for kids 3 years and up and an art class for kids ages 6-11 at the Orange County Main Library; and a ventriloquist musician at the Cedar Grove Library. The program will continue through July with puppet shows, magic shows, children’s theater, kid’s rock & roll, hands-on art programs, live animal shows, storytelling and more. Teens entering grades six through 12 can sign up for a creative writing class, manga-drawing workshop, trash-to-treasure art project and photography contest.
