Cocktails for Cancer, a fundraising event to help fund research on women’s cancers, will be held on Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. in the Great Room at Top of the Hill.
The event will feature music, food, cocktails, drawings and a live auction, which will be emceed by former UNC basketball player Eric Montross. The Cocktails for Cancer organization was established in 2007 by a group of people with family members who have won and lost the battle against cancer. The organization hopes to increase awareness about female cancers and support the research needed to find a cure through education, promotion and fundraising.
Attire is classy casual. Tickets are $40 per person, $75 per couple and $30 for students. Proceeds will be donated to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. For more information or to donate, visit cocktailsforcancer.org
