Orange County Animal Services will host “Sheltering and Surplus Pets: Challenges and Opportunities,†on Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, which is Nov. 7-13.
The panel discussion is free and open to the public and will cover the challenges and opportunities of animal sheltering and address the problem of pet overpopulation. Panelists include Kelly Ferris of the College of Veterinary Medicine at NCSU; Beth Livingston, executive director of AnimalKind; and Bob Marotto, director of Orange County Animal Services.
