Harman, 73, was riding his bike in the westbound bicycle lane of Main Street on July 9 when he swerved out of the bike lane and into traffic. He later died at UNC Hospitals from injuries sustained in the accident.
The memorial, dubbed a “tribute to the acts of kindness from the Carrboro community that transformed the life of Robert Harman into a small-town miracle,†will feature speakers including Mayor Mark Chilton, Cliff Collins, Scott Conary, members of Harman’s family and others.
Collins, Conary and friends of Harman organized the event.
