The Carrboro High School men’s lacrosse team brought its record to 1-1 with a 9-5 win over Orange High on Friday night at home. Coaches Pete Procopio, Kelsey Kihlstrom and Paul Bonnici juggled their young line-up and taught on the fly as the Jaguars went ahead early and never trailed in a hard-fought game. The scoring was led by MacKenzie Price with four and John Pamplin with three, and Rich Leeper provided three assists. The defense was anchored by strong performances in the goal. Nick Swartzwelder had eight saves, while Gus Brighton stopped five shots.
