Teon Dolby and Benjamin Rose were awarded the Chapel Hill and Carrboro peacemaking scholarships for their excellent performances at Carrboro High School.
The scholarships are awarded based on activism, academic study, career goals, global community and social justice.
Dolby was a student representative on the community’s Committee for the Success of All Students and plans to become a civil rights lawyer; he will attend Morgan State University this fall. Rose led United Way fundraising events and acted in numerous CHS and community theater productions; he will attend UNC-Wilmington this fall.
