September is National Preparedness Month, and Orange County is participating this year by launching a video contest called Ready in 60 Seconds, for county residents only.
Interested residents should submit an original, 60-second video that explains a concept from a list that can be found at readyorange.org. The contest will run through Oct. 15, and winners will receive an award package that includes emergency-preparedness supplies.
Visit readyorange.org for more information or to apply.
