Storm warning canceled

The National Weather Service has canceled the Winter Storm Warning for Orange County.

That means the snow that was expected to continue through mid-day won’t. But that doesn’t mean it won’t stay cold, so stay careful out there.

Sheriff urges caution

Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass told listeners of WCHL that even though primary roads are in decent shape, “There’s no reason to get out and start runinng round.” He suggested that anyone who could stay home should.

And if you have to go out, don’t forget to scrape your head and tail lights in addition to your windshields. And, of course, drive slowly.
