Scouting Report: Reuben M. *Supereub* [supereub@lava.net]
Seriously, I believe that Anthony Carter should go higher in the
draft. He can score, he is so acrobatic when it comes to penetrating,
and he is just a plain old speed demon! People who have seen A.C. play
know how fast he can surge up and down that court. Do you think he
would average 2.2 per game if he were sluggish?
His leadership skills are phenominal, and when he finds his game...he
rivals the finest point guards in college basketball. He's the PG which
looks for the pass first, shot second. That's pretty good considering he
averages 18.2 ppg...finishing off strong with about 29 ppg in the NIT.
He especially liked dishing it out to fellow backcourt member, Alika
Smith. (With a nice 3-point shot I might add.)
His only weakness? Turnovers. Though, he makes it up with his
assists. A.C. led the WAC in turnovers...but he was also second in the
WAC in assists (7.4 apg, 4.4 tpg...not so bad ratio). Though, I don't
think he should be the #38 pick for all the good qualities compared to
the bad. A reasonable range should be about #20-29 at least.
