Scouting Report: Nick Vaughan [nvaughan@student.umass.edu] |
---|
Not really a prospect until his senior year, where he exploded, being voted the Atlantic 10's MVP. Benefitted from not being the focal point on defense, also from Tyson Wheeler's increased passing. Has good size for a 2 guard (6'4"), and is fairly well built. Sometimes plays out of control, will go for the kill rather than the smart play. Has good range on his jumper, but is very inconsistent with it. Doesn't like to post up, even though most of the guys who defended him were smaller. Good defensive player, not as quick as his nickname (Cat) would lead you to believe. Won't take his man out of the game, but will give him fits trying to get open. Probably will end up a free agent camp signing, CBA, or overseas. |
