Unfortunate senior year has put a damper on this once highly-thought-of playmaker. Tyson's expectations coming into 1997-98 were high, and he was overshadowed by teammate Cuttino Mobley's suprisingly improved play. His free throw shooting dropped to a dismal 65% for a point guard. His assist averages have dropped, as did his 3-point percentage, field goal percentage and overall points per game. As a senior, his scoring was streaky. His lack of size needed to be compensated for by a strong senior campaign, which it was not. I see him invited to campsmaybe picked in the second round, but nothing more. |
