Scouting reports

Scout: JazzyJ

Hill is a talented forward prospect who is eligible for the NBA Draft this year after playing in Europe this past season. Hill starred for Illinois State from 1995-96 to 1997-98, but decided to go pro in 1998, but after the deadline to declare for the NBA Draft. Due to NBA rules, since he played professionally this past season, he did not need to declare for the draft, but is automatically eligible.

Hill played mostly inside at Illinois State, but stepped outside on occasion, displaying a pretty smooth long-range jumper (something he developed late in his collegiate career). He will need to continue to work on his perimeter game as his size would dictate him seeing most of his time at SF (if not SG) in the NBA. He may also need to add some weight and strength. If Hill had declared for last year's draft on time, he may have been a 1st round pick, and this year, the case may be the same. One thing that might be a concern would be the fact that Hill was cut in Spain due to injury problems -- the extent of those problems are unknown at this time.
