- U.S. omputer companies rank first in worldwide sales of
mainframes and 1,2, and 3 in worldwide sales of supercomputers,
mid-range machines, workstations, and personal computers.
- CSPP companies generated more than $123 billion in revenue in
1991 and spent 12% of that revenue on R&D in 1991. This
represented 21% of all industry-funded R&D.
