Iron Dragon Reviews

-----------------------------------

Why is this still here....this coater should be trashed. I think, I could have fallen asleep on the ride...*but*, the lift was they noisiest and jerkiest thing I've ever been on. Really boring...not even worth a walkon IMHO. Looks nice, but other than that is really stupid. Oh yeah...the new shocks on the cars look cool too...they work well, give you a nice smooth ride.

-----------------------------------

This would be a lot more fun if it was faster and they loosened the shocks a little so the cars could swing more. However, riding Batman at SFGAm last year makes this look pretty weak in comparison.

-----------------------------------

The new shocks may make the train come smoother into the station, but if you sit in one of the 2nd row seats (seats 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14), you get beaten up a little when the guide roller hits the guide channel. The brakes don't catapult you into the restraint like they did last year, but they still hit a little hard.

-----------------------------------

Known as "Draggin' Iron", I've heard all sorts of complaints about this ride. And everyone said that I should ride it *once* just to see how bad it really is. So, we rode it once. I have to say that the ride is pretty bad. And slow. And pretty uninteresting. But, I still enjoyed it (after all, it's the only suspended coaster in the park). But I really don't need to ride it again. Big Bad Wolf is definitive. 'nuff said.

-----------------------------------

OK, it wasn't real thrilling, no airtime or big postivie G's, and the horse-collars seemed superfluous, but we *liked* this coaster. Swooping through the trees and over the water was *fun*. Sure, it would have been nice to do away with the trim brakes, but it was *fun*. Did I mention that it was *fun*?

The wait ran 30 to 45 minutes. Three trains running. It was interesting to see the computer slow down the first lift till the previous train cleared the sensors on the second lift, and then speed the lift up again. First time I've really noticed multi-train synchronization on a coaster. (I'm an EE, so I get off on things like that.)

-----------------------------------

No changes here. It's tame, but the suspended (swinging) cars make for a change in feel from your average coaster. This was walk-on unless you wanted the first car (which is, of course the only decent car on the thing, IMHO, because of the added swinging action)

-----------------------------------

Booring! But, Since I got there early I got the front seat and was one of the only 4 people on the train! Wow what a feeling whole train to ourselves and we all hated the coaster so we had a good time making fun of the whole ride :)
