Located in a National
Register of Historic Places District, the museum is housed
in an elegantly simple Greek Revival building. Other museum
buildings include the Old Jail (1848), Train Depot (1901)
and a modern Carriage House.

The museum holds in trust for current
and future generations over 5,000 objects, 20,000 documents,
over 400,000 photos which span the period from the 1500s through
the 20th Century (shown above). As a federally designated
501c3 organization, the museum gratefully accepts donations
to support its exhibits, programs, research, preservation and
public interpretation. |

of Historic Places District. Within easy walking distance you
can see the 1848 Jail, a Train Depot, and the original Gaston
