Guitarist Blind Boy Fuller (1908-41) the dean of Piedmont
Blues musicians, played for tips in Danville, Virginia as well as
Durham
before teaming up with Blind Sonny Terry in 1934 to work Durham streets/house
parties/fish fries/tobacco warehouses.
Harmonica player Blind Sonny Terry (1911-86) performed for tips in streets
and tobacco warehouse throughout North Carolina in the late 20s and early
30s before teaming up with Blind Boy Fuller. Terry and Fuller also recorded
together on the Libary of Congress label in 1938.
