Sailors at the Naval Training Station, Hampton Roads, Virginia, form a "human dirigible" in honor of the airship Shenandoah (ZR-1), circa 1923-1925. Aerial view, showing the men in formation, with those in white uniforms forming the hull, fins and cars of the airships. Men in blue uniforms within the "hull" form the letters: "U.S. NAVY ZR1". Reproductions of this image should be available through the National Archives photographic reproduction system for pictures not held by the Naval Historical Center.
