Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Barbara Warfield, USNR(W)


Working on an aircraft at Naval Air Station, Seattle, Washington, 28 September 1943. She was one of the first WAVES assigned to the overhaul and repair of naval aircraft.
Plane appears to be a Grumman F4F, with a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 "Twin Wasp" engine.
Note crescent wrench.
