USS SC-74


At the Mathis Yacht Building Company shipyard, Camden, New Jersey. Placed in commission on 20 March 1918, this photo may have been taken on or about that day since she is flying the Navy jack at the bow.
Note the timber in the foreground. Another submarine chaser is fitting out immediately beyond SC-74.
The two ships in in the left background are USS Stephen W. McKeever Jr. (SP-1169) and a Coast Guard Cutter.
