USS Richmond (1860-1919)

Photographed after her 1877-78 refit, when she received a pivot gun forward to the smokestack, and prior to about 1890.
The gunboat at left is unidentified. The paddle steamer in the right distance is probably USS Ashuelot, Monocacy or Tallapoosa. The first two served with Richmond on the Asiatic Station in 1878-1884. Tallaposa served with her on the South Atlantic Station in 1889-90.
