USS Milwaukee (Cruiser # 21)
Forward portion of the cruiser's wreck, taken on 29 April 1919,
more than two years after she went aground at Samoa Beach, near
Eureka, California, on 13 January 1917.
Note the pier used by salvagers to remove the ship's guns and
equipment, and the degree that Milwaukee had settled since
going ashore.
