View of the Ordnance Foundry in the northwestern part of the Navy Yard, taken by Brady & Company in June 1866.
Note the Dahlgren rifled guns stored in the lower right, all of them lacking their trunnion and breeching pieces.
This ornate building was located on the site of the present (1997) Building 28. The view looks southeast from the roof of a low building located just west of the present Building 73.
