(American Motor Boat, 1916)

In port, alongside a pontoon float, probably while being prepared for Navy service, circa May-July 1917.
This open cockpit motor pleasure craft, evaluated as "Excellent as rescue boat or tender to the air-plane at Naval Air Station" was placed in commission as USS Itty E (SP-952) on 6 July 1917. She was damaged by fire in July 1918 and scrapped in 1920.
USS Machigonne (SP-507), which was placed in commission on 9 July 1917, is partially visible on the other side of the pier.
