S.S. West Galoc
(American Freighter, 1918)

At anchor, in 1918, possibly at the time she entered Naval service.
Taken over on 21 August 1918, immediately after completion of construction, this steamer was commissioned the same day at San Pedro, California, as USS West Galoc (ID # 3347). She was returned to the U.S. Shipping Board on 29 April 1919.
Note her "dazzle" type camouflage.
