USS Walke
(Destroyer # 34)

Diving support facilities and activities on board the ship while diver Stephen J. Drellishak (Chief Gunner's Mate, USN) was on the bottom of Long Island Sound, 274 feet below the surface, during his record 3 November 1914 dive.
Note rough sea, diver's air hose and lines, ladder (extending to a depth of 80 feet), rivets in Walke's side plating, rubbing strake just above her water line, and recompression chamber installed on her deck.
