(American Motor Boat, 1909)

Photographed prior to her World War I Naval service.
Designed by Wittelsey & Whitaker of Stamford, Connecticut, and built in 1909, this pleasure craft was owned in 1917 by John Hayes Hammond, Jr., of Gloucester, Massachusetts. She was acquired by the Navy on 8 May 1917 and subsequently served as USS Natalia (SP-1251). After proving unsuitable for Naval employment, she was returned to her owner on 5 July 1918.
