Steamship Adirondack
(American River Passenger Ship)

Photographed Prior to World War I.
This steamer was delivered the Navy on 25 September 1917 and became USS Adirondack (ID # 1270). She served as a floating barracks as part of the Receiving Ship, New York Navy Yard, through World War I. Adirondack was returned to her owner on 24 January 1919.
Note this ship's extensive hogging brace.

The original is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
