S.S. Kamesit
(American Freighter, 1918)

Underway when first completed by the Moore Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, Oakland, California, in 1918.
This freighter was taken over by the Navy on 29 January 1919 and placed in commission as USS Kamesit (ID # 3829). She was decommissioned and returned to the U.S. Shipping Board on 23 May 1919.
