At Honolulu, Hawaii, in June 1905. While at San Diego, California, on 21 July of that year, Bennington suffered a boiler explosion that killed many of her crew.
This halftone image is printed on a postcard mailed at San Francisco, California on 14 June 1907, addressed to Miss Madeline M. March of Hollister, California.
