Signalman using semaphore flags atop the ship's pilothouse, circa 1917-1918. Location is probably in the Delaware River or Delaware Bay area.
Note Delaware's name board in the foreground. This ship was renamed SP-467 in 1918 and was later redesignated AT-53 and YT-111.
