David Chenoweth Ebaugh (active during the Civil War)

During the Civil War, David Chenoweth Ebaugh was Assistant Superintendent of the Cooper River Niter Works, located near Charleston, South Carolina. He was also in charge of the design and construction of the torpedo boat CSS David, built in 1863, and of other torpedo boats of similar type built in the Charleston area.
