Acting Assistant Surgeon George Hopkins, USN --
(in service 1862-1865)

George Hopkins was commissioned as a Navy Acting Assistant Surgeon on 1 October 1862 and served with the Mississippi Squadron until he was honorably discharged on 12 October 1865. During some of that time, he served on board the hospital ship USS Red Rover.
