Dick Libby, Quartermaster, USN. (In Service, circa the 1830s)

Dick Libby, the subject of one of the earliest known portraits of a U.S. Navy enlisted man, served in the ship of the line USS Delaware during her mid-1830s Mediterranean cruise. He probably had earlier and later service in the Navy as well.
