Electrician Arthur C. Manlove, USN, (1901-1941)

Arthur Cleon Manlove was born in Tipton, Indiana, on 19 March 1901. He enlisted in the Navy in August 1923 and was appointed a warrant officer Electrician while assigned to the cruiser Augusta in December 1936. He was killed in action while serving in the battleship Arizona during the 7 December 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

The escort ship USS Manlove (DE-36), 1943-1947, was named in honor of Electrician Manlove.
