Sarah Livingston Thompson (17__-1834)

Sarah Livingston, daughter of New York attorney Gilbert Livingston, married Smith Thompson in 1794. The couple had four children, while Sarah's husband had a lengthy career in government, including service on the New York Supreme Court from 1802 to 1818, the United States Supreme Court from 1823 to 1843, and Secretary of the Navy from 1819 to 1823. Sarah Livingston Thompson died in 1834.
