S.S. Aberdeen (American Freighter, 1918)

S.S. Aberdeen, a 3000 gross ton (6850 tons displacement) wooden-hulled freighter, was built at Grays Harbor, Washington, as part of the World War I emergency merchant ship construction program. In late October 1918, at the time of her completion, she was examined by the Thirteenth Naval District with possible acquisition by the Navy in mind. Though assigned the registry ID # 3555, she was not taken over and remained in civilian hands.

This page features the only view we have concerning the freighter Aberdeen of 1918
