Betty Jane I, a 36-foot "runabout" type motor pleasure boat, was built at Bayonne, New Jersey, in 1913. She was leased by the Navy in September 1917 and placed in commission as USS Betty Jane I. A year later, while she was assigned to the Sixth Naval District, she was given the registry ID # 3458. The boat was returned to her owner in mid-January 1919.
This page features the only view we have concerning the motor boat Betty Jane I, which was USS Betty Jane I (ID # 3458) in 1917-1919.
