Bie & Schiott (American Motor Boat, 1918).
Served as USS Bie & Schiott (ID # 2871) and YP-2871 in 1918-1922

Bie & Schiott, a 64-foot motor boat, was built in 1918. Purchased from her Norfolk, Virginia, owner soon after completion, she was placed in commission as USS Bie & Schiott (ID # 2871) in mid-March 1918. Assigned to the Fifth Naval District, she was employed on transportation duties for the next several years. In 1920 she was classified as a district patrol vessel and became YP-2871. The craft was sold in April 1922.

Bie & Schiott

In port, probably in the vicinity of Norfolk, Virginia, in early 1918.
This craft was purchased by the Navy and placed in commission on 14 March 1918 as USS Bie & Schiott (ID # 2871). Later renamed YP-2871, she was sold on 22 April 1922.
