Cero (American Motor Boat, 1915).
Served as USS Cero (SP-1189) in 1917-1918

Cero, a 40-foot motor pleasure boat, was built in 1915 by Luders Marine Construction Company of Stamfort, Connecticut. In mid-July 1917, when she was owned by R.C. McCorkle of New York City, the craft was ordered taken over by the Navy, an action that was carried out in August. She served as USS Cero (SP-1189) until 21 October 1918, when she was reportedly sunk.

This page features the only view we have concerning the motor boat Cero, which served as USS Cero (SP-1189) in 1917-1918.

Photographed prior to World War I.
Built in 1915 by Luders Marine Construction Company of Stamford, Connecticut, and owned by R. C. McCorkle of New York City, this motor boat served as USS Cero (SP-1189) in 1917-1918. She was reportedly sunk on 21 October 1918.
