Doloma (American Motor Boat, 1907).
Served as USS Doloma (SP-1062) in 1917-1918

Doloma, a 75-foot motor pleasure boat, was built in 1907. In July 1917 the Navy chartered her for a Dollar a month from A. Hompe of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Commissioned as USS Doloma (SP-1062), she was employed on the Great Lakes during the remainder of the First World War. At the end of 1918 the Commandant of the Ninth Naval District reported that she had been returned to her owner.

This page features the only view we have concerning the motor boat Doloma of 1907, which was USS Doloma (SP-1062) in 1917-1918.

Doloma

Underway prior to her World War I era Naval service.
This pleasure craft was acquired by the Navy and placed in commission on 26 July 1917 as USS Doloma (SP-1062). On 31 December 1918 the Ninth Naval District Commandant reported that she had been returned to her owner, A. Hompe of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
