Dorothea II (American Motor Boat, 1916).
Served as USS SP-912 in 1917-1919

Dorothea II, a 75.6-foot motor pleasure boat, was built in 1916 by the Smith & Williams Company of Salisbury, Maryland. She was acquired by the Navy in May 1917 and commissioned December of that year as USS SP-912. Following service during World War I she was stricken from the list of Naval vessels in early March 1919 and a month later was reported to have been returned to her owner.

This page features the only view we have concerning the motor boat Dorothea II of 1916, which was USS SP-912 in 1917-1919.
