Felicia (American Steam Yacht, 1898).
Served as USS Felicia (SP-642) in 1917-1920

The 213 gross ton steam yacht Felicia was built in 1898 by the J.N. Robbins Company of Brooklyn, New York. The Navy purchased her in June 1917 from Jesse H. Metcalf of Providence, Rhode Island, commissioning her later in that month as USS Felicia (SP-642). She was employed on patrol service in southern New England waters until damaged in a collision on 30 August 1918, and was thereafter under repair or laid up until decommissioned a year later. Felicia was stricken from the list of Naval vessels in September 1919 and sold in March 1920.

This page features the only view we have concerning the steam yacht Felicia, which was USS Felicia (SP-642) in 1917-1920.
