George H. Bradley (U.S. Fishing Vessel, 1871).
Served in 1917-1919 as USS George H. Bradley (SP-327)

George H. Bradley, a "Menhaden Fisherman" type fishing vessel (reportedly of 99 gross tons), was built in 1871 at Bath, Maine. She was acquired by the Navy and placed in commission in mid-May 1917 as USS George H. Bradley (SP-327). Initially used as a patrol vessel in the Hampton Roads and lower Chesapeake Bay region, in March 1918 she began minesweeping duties in Chesapeake Bay and off its mouth. George H. Bradley was sold in May 1919.

This page features the only views we have concerning the fishing vessel George H. Bradley, which served as USS George H. Bradley (SP-327) in 1917-1919.

Acquired by the Navy for World War I service and placed in commission on 18 May 1917 as USS George H. Bradley (SP-327), this ship was sold on 6 May 1919.
